What is the mission statement of the company?
Sennheiser’s mission statement is called: “3D Vision:”
  1. Delight our Stakeholders; our associates, customers and suppliers
  2. Demand Excellence; in our products; services and people
  3. Deliver Results; to do what we say we will do

Which are the main competing products?
Sennheiser has a wide range of competing products. Generic, substitute and brand competition can all be considered competition for Sennheiser. All of these competitors offer the same type of product (think of headphones, microphones, speakers and so on). Of course there is a slight difference in these products, in terms of for example audio quality or comfort.

What is the competitive position of the company with the chosen product?
On Sennheiser’s main website  the company proudly tells that being a family company really helps with staying competitive, they are financially independent, which guarantees the freedom to act (Sennheiser).
I think the competitive position of Sennheiser headphones is really good, Sennheiser is internationally known for its top quality products and premium quality service. If you take a look at the various listings of top 10 headphone brands you will almost always find Sennheiser somewhere in the list. Sennheiser is recognizes by the public as one of the best.

Which differential advantages does the company have over its’ competitors?
The most important advantage Sennheiser has over its competitors, like you probably could guess by now, is being a family owned company. They can really make the best decisions to insure the company’s future and products quality without having the trouble of first getting an agreement or permission from a parent company.

When we look at the Ansoff Matrix, which growth strategy do you see for your product?
Sennheiser produces new products on existing markets. Because headphones already are a pretty established product, companies like Sennheiser have to stand out with quality (product development).
