Which environmental factors have a major impact on the marketing policies of the company?
Technology is the most important environmental factor on the marketing policies of Sennheiser. Most of the Annual Report of 2015 is based on development of products and the company itself (leverages internal research and development skills and in-house production capacities) (Sennheiser, 2015). Having the best technology makes sure that the company can stand up to the competition, which is also an important factor that can have a major impact on the company. Having the competitive edge can for the most part only be achieved by being innovative and by having acceptance for new technologies.

Two statistical publications in which relevant data about the external environment for your product can be found:

The “Netherlands Business survey, region, month” statistical publication is partly about the competitive position (which makes it relevant to the competitive forces external environment for my product) of the manufacturing of electronics sector of The Netherlands in both the Dutch market, inside the EU and also outside of the EU. The statistic shows if this competitive position declined, improved or balanced (Statline, 2016).

Are there any social, cultural or religious differences in the Netherlands that would affect the consumption of your product?
No social, cultural or religious differences could affect the consumption of headphones in The Netherlands or anywhere else for that matter. Headphones are not a controversial product, no religion or culture forbid it in any way (not a single article or any source of information is related to the product being controversial or banned).
